Intro

Have you ever had something that you really needed to do, or thought you should do, or knew was good for you, or even wanted to do.. but you just couldn’t get yourself to go do it? I get that. There are so many reasons, maybe even good reasons, that we use for why we can’t or least for why it’s hard. But when it comes to making something new, or making something right, or making something better we have to start looking at everything that makes it challenging as something that makes us stronger. Discipline says you can do this, even if it’s hard.

Show Notes

Looking at some indications, emotions and feelings that point to where we might be out of balance. We’ve also got some of the benefits that go along with working the Principle of Discipline and a writing exercise for getting your priorities straight as you start taking action.

Here are a few of the most obvious indications that we talked about:

  • Complacency

  • Impulsivity

  • Lethargic or Under-active Energy

  • Hectic or Over-active Energy

We also went over some of the benefits that come from working with this Principle in a practical way:

  • Balance

  • Stability

  • Motivation

  • Clarity

  • Determination

  • Patience

Here is the writing exercise that we used:

  • Making Amends to Self and Others

Don’t forget the Challenge Question for this week:

  • What can I do right now to move toward something entirely good?

I’d love to hear what you thought about today’s episode. Come connect with us on social media to join in the conversation.
