Intro

When I say things like, “let it go, or “you choose your thoughts,” or “do it now” the last thing I want is to in any way dismiss or minimize whatever you’re going through. Grief, trauma and depression can’t be swept aside or explained away. Addictions, dependencies and disorders of all kinds are not by choice, and all mental health issues are personal and complex. But I do still believe there are things that we can do to help ourselves… and I really do believe now is the time.

Show Notes

Taking a quick look at a few of the indications and benefits that relate to Surrender with prompts for identifying areas of over-connection.

Here are a few of the most obvious indications that we talked about:

  • Grief

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Guilt

  • Shame

  • Blame

  • Resentment

We also went over some of the benefits that come from working with this Principle in a practical way:

  • Healing

  • Peace

  • Contentment

  • Acceptance

  • Gratitude

Here are a few of the prompts that we used:

  • If there is something that comes up for you on a regular basis see if you can pinpoint the last time it happened and how that felt…

  • Is there a physical sensation that goes along with it?

  • Can you think of anything that helps you recognize this particular thought process or behavior looming before it actually happens?

  • And, how does it start?

Don’t forget the Challenge Question for this week:

  • What does acceptance mean to you?

I’d love to hear what you thought about today’s episode. Come connect with us on social media to join in the conversation.
