Hope Talking Points

Intro

Despair is a tricky thing. It has a way of covering up anything that might help you find your way out of it. But sometimes, when you’re really desperate, something that can help finds you. For me it happened entirely by accident, I was waiting for a takeout order, walking by the open door of a yoga studio I’d never noticed before. I was actively grieving the loss of my brother, I had two kids in active addiction and a father who was very passively wasting away with an unknown cancer. I just went out looking for Chinese food and a place to hide and cry for minute, and somehow, I found sanctuary…

Show Notes

Today we started talking about the Principle of Hope. I used a more emotionally charged personal example from my own life to start exploring some of those areas where energetic connections may have been broken. We went through all six talking points, pausing here and there with more from my experiences to talk about how we get into those dark places in life and how we can start finding our way out.

Here’s a quick look at the Talking Points for Hope:

  • Use what you learned from grounding practice to identify areas of disconnect.

  • Use your emotions, especially the painful ones, to identify areas for change.

  • Take an honest look at your physical environment and physical health.

  • Take advantage of the way your brain already works to start making new mental connections.

  • Identify an Energetic Source and instead of trying to define it, start exploring ways to connect and feel it.

  • And then use any and all of those connections to start reaching for something more… you don’t have to wait for that. That’s something that you can start doing right now.
